I consider myself to be somewhat of a pizza snob, so when I discovered Bill's Pizza on Cortez Street, just east of the court house, I was delighted. By far, Bill's Pizza served my pizza snobbery. My favorite pizza is the Elton John, my mouth waters just thinking about it. It boasts a garlic infused olive oil on a delightful crust topped with artichoke hearts, diced tomatoes, spinach, red onions, four cheeses along with feta. This might not be for everyone but I sure love it. So it stands to reason that when I had guests in town and pizza was a dinner choice, I take them to Bill's. Right? Well not so fast... It turns out that Bill's was closed, What? I know! Closed for renovation said the sign on their door...now what? I remember hearing about another pizza joint up the road a block or so, so I venture on into Two Mamma's Gourmet Pizza, also on Cortez Street. My friends didn't have the same adventurous pizza spirit that I do, so we didn't stray far from the ordinary, but even so, I was quite impressed by Two Mamma's. The store front was clean (a biggie) and the young lady behind the counter was talkative, polite & friendly, plus you could tell that she enjoyed what she was doing. The pizzas were amazing and the cost was somewhat less than Bill's (bonus). So now when guests ask about pizza choices, my response is somewhat different, hmmm, I like them both, I guess it's always good to have options!
